Le préfet du département de Mbacké, Khadim Hann, a pris un arrêté réglementant la circulation des véhicules à moteur et hippomobiles, à l’occasion du Grand Magal de Touba, prévu le 2 août, afin de fluidifier le trafic et de faciliter les déplacements des pèlerins.
Selon cet arrêté, les nouvelles dispositions entreront en vigueur le 31 juillet à zéro heure et resteront applicables jusqu’au 4 août à minuit.
Le document indique qu’il est prévu un important plan de circulation fixant les itinéraires obligatoires ou recommandés pour les véhicules en provenance de Diourbel, Mbacké, l’autoroute Ila Touba, Kaffrine, Linguère, Dahra Djolof, Taïf, Ndiouroul, Kébémer et Darou Mouhty.
Les automobilistes venant de Diourbel et de Mbacké disposeront de plusieurs itinéraires d’accès à Touba, notamment par la nouvelle route de Gawane-Darou Salam, la rocade, l’héliport, le rond-point Touba Ndiarème, la Corniche ou encore la route dite ‘’Ndiouga Kébé‘’, selon leur destination.
L’arrêté interdit toutefois aux véhicules circulant sur la Route nationale n°3 (RN3) dans le sens Diourbel-Touba d’emprunter l’axe des ‘’deux voies‘’ reliant Ngabou au rond-point Touba Fall.
Le préfet précise également que seuls les véhicules munis d’un ordre de mission spécial pourront accéder à la zone piétonne aménagée à l’intérieur de Touba, les détenteurs de laissez-passer étant déviés au niveau du rond-point Ndiéné.
Pour les usagers empruntant l’autoroute Ila Touba, plusieurs itinéraires alternatifs sont également définis afin de répartir les flux vers les différents accès de la ville sainte. En revanche, la circulation des gros porteurs demeure interdite sur cette autoroute pendant cette période.
