A Dakar, le commissariat de Grand-Yoff a mené, le 25 juillet 2026, entre 16 heures et 19 heures, une opération coup de poing au niveau du site illicite de commercialisation de terminaux mobiles, communément appelé « Market bi », situé dans cette localité.
Les services de police rappellent que des opérations répressives antérieures avaient déjà permis de démanteler ce marché illicite et de dissuader les receleurs d’occuper les lieux, rétablissant ainsi un climat de sécurité et de tranquillité publique apprécié des populations riveraines.
L’opération a permis la saisie, à titre conservatoire, de cinquante-quatre (54) téléphones portables, dont dix (10) abandonnés sur les lieux par deux (02) individus ayant pris la fuite. Elle a également conduit à l’interpellation de six (06) individus pour vérification de l’origine des terminaux découverts en leur possession.
Les cinquante-quatre (54) téléphones portables ont été consignés afin de permettre les vérifications techniques et les investigations destinées à établir leur provenance et à identifier leurs éventuels propriétaires légitimes. D’après le journal Libération, l’enquête se poursuit.
