Un ressortissant sénégalais est décédé à Kerr Sering, en Gambie, après une chute du deuxième étage d’un immeuble lors d’une opération menée dans la nuit du samedi 15 août 2026 par des agents de la Drug Law Enforcement Agency of The Gambia (DLEAG), selon des informations rapportées par le journal en ligne The Point.
La victime a été identifiée comme étant Kalilou Diallo, plus connu sur les réseaux sociaux sous le pseudonyme de « L’Homme de Ziguinchor », une figure suivie par de nombreux internautes sénégalais.
D’après The Point, l’incident s’est produit lorsque des agents de la DLEAG ont effectué une descente dans une résidence située dans la municipalité de Kanifing, à la suite de renseignements faisant état de présumées activités liées au trafic de drogue.
Selon la même source, deux ressortissants sénégalais se trouvaient à l’intérieur de l’appartement au moment de l’intervention. Lors de la perquisition, les agents auraient découvert quatre paquets de cannabis présumé de type « skunk », dissimulés dans une armoire.
Toujours selon les informations relayées par le média gambien, l’un des occupants aurait tenté de prendre la fuite en passant par le balcon de l’immeuble. Il aurait alors fait une chute mortelle. Transporté en urgence à l’hôpital général de Kanifing, il a été déclaré mort par le personnel médical.
À ce stade, les circonstances exactes de l’incident restent à éclaircir. Les autorités gambiennes n’ont pas encore communiqué davantage de détails sur cette affaire, et l’on ignore également si d’autres éléments ont été saisis au cours de l’opération.
Une enquête pourrait permettre d’établir les circonstances précises de ce drame qui suscite déjà de nombreuses réactions sur les réseaux sociaux, notamment à Ziguinchor, ville à laquelle la victime était fortement associée.
